Free admission to 5 Bogor museums
Bogor administration says it is offering free admission to five museums in the West Java municipality from June 13 to June 21, as part of commemorations of its 529th anniversary.
The museums include botanical and historical museums, with free admission also aimed at promoting museums, particularly to students, Bogor Culture and Tourism Agency spokesman Hilman Hidayat said in Bogor on Thursday.
“[People] shouldn't miss this opportunity,” he added, as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
The five museums are:
1. Etnobotani Museum
Home to a collection including more than 2,000 ethnobotanical artifacts.
Located on Jl. Ir. H. Juanda No. 24, Bogor.
2. Herbarium Bogoriense Museum
Home to a collection of preserved local and foreign plant specimens.
Located on Jl. Ir. H. Juanda, West of Bogor Botanical Gardens
3.Soil Museum (Museum Tanah)
Home to a collection of a wide variety of soils from various regions in Indonesia.
Located on Jl. Ir. H. Juanda No. 98, Bogor.
4. Peta Museum
Home to a collection of artifacts from Indonesia's struggle for independence, including the conflicts involving Peta soldiers.
Located on Jl. Jenderal Sudirman No. 35, Bogor.
5.Perjuangan Museum
Home to a collection of weaponry used by independence soldiers, as well as weapons seized from Japanese and British troops.
Located on Jl. Merdeka No. 56, Bogor.
