Selat Baru Beach in Bengkalis
Selat Baru Beach is the second most beautiful beach in Bengkalis after Rupat Beach North. New Straits Coastal own name was taken from a village where the beach is located, the New Strait Village, which also became the Capital District Bantan. Bengkalis Government has made the beach as one tourist mainstay.

Selat Baru Beach has a gently sloping stretch of beach and fine sand along the 2 miles with a distance of about 200 meters from the beach. Selat Baru Beach is located north of the capital of Regency Bengkalis. Is approximately 7 (seven) miles with the distance of about one hour using two-wheeled vehicle or four wheel. From Pekanbaru, visitors can use to transport water across the Siak River to the port of Bengkalis. Mileage is around 5 (five) hours. Another access point is where visitors can use the land. Namely, take the bus from Pekanbaru to Siak Regency through traffic lane east of Sumatra. Mileage is approximately 2 (two) hours. From the port of Siak, then followed by a speed boat journey to the port of Bengkalis with the distance of about 2 (two) hours.
In this place visitors can perform various activities, like sunbathing (sun burning) on the beach, surfing (surfing), boating (Boating), swimming (swimming), and fishing (fishing). Except that, in the region is also equipped with an international port just waiting for the time of operation and ferry ferry (RO-RO) towards Pakning River, connecting it with the Riau mainland and other cities in Sumatra.
