State museum of North Sulawesi Province
State Museum of North Sulawesi province aimed at documenting all matters relating to the North Sulawesi province and represent the culture, history and arts community of North Sulawesi. Building a traditional house of Minahasa museum.
A. COLLECTIONS
Museum's collection represents the culture and history of the local communities of North Sulawesi, pre-and post-colonial history and cultural mix with Chinese and Dutch. Consisting of a collection of geology, biology, ethnography, archeology, history, numismatic / heraldry, philology, ceramics, art, and technology. Collection of fishing equipment in the Museum District of North Sulawesi province is Sasarup (fishing equipment in the lake), Totobongo (fishing equipment by piercing), IGI (freshwater fishing equipment), tambelong (a place to store bait), etc..
Other collections of heritage objects Kyai Maja, the turban, dagger, beads, and chest protector. Kyai Maja is a devoted follower of Prince Diponegoro was exiled by the Dutch to Tondano. In addition there is a collection of tables and chairs used by the National Hero Maria Walanda Maramis. Many more of course in this museum collection. State Museum of North Sulawesi province officially opened on January 9, 1991, is a regional museum with a collection of quite a lot. There are about 500 collections are on display every day in the Exhibition Hall, more than 2800 of its collection. But like many other museums in the country, the Museum District of North Sulawesi province also requires the arrangement of collections and better care, to be able to inspire and give a lasting impression to visitors.
