Yogyakarta hotels see year-end reservations soar
A number of hotels in Yogyakarta have started to receive bookings as many tourists chose to spend New Year eve in the cultural city.
“Tourists have started to make reservations because Yogyakarta hotels tend to be fully booked during the year-end holiday seasons,” Yogyakarta Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) chairman Istidjab M Danunagoro said on Thursday.
“Most tourists want to celebrate New Year's in Yogyakarta,” he added.
Istidjab said that Yogyakarta hotels’ managements had also prepared special events on the New Year eve.
Istidjab also said that 23 new hotels would be built in Yogyakarta within the next two years, kompas.com reported.
